Matthew Smelser, 2009 Olathe High School graduate, is presented with a $2,500 Scholarship from the Colorado Lions Foundation Educational Scholarship Fund by Olathe Lion Sheila Lovato, at the Olathe Sweet Corn Festival, August 1, 2009.

July 4th 2009 - Nucla Lions sell Garters - $5.00

July 4th 2009 - Someone has to stir the pot!

The Nucla Lions Club continued their 4th of July fundraising again this year, selling garters, serving hot dogs/chips or barbeque meal. The funds raised are used for next year's community fireworks as well as other club projects.

June 21, 2009 ~ Four Rifle Lions responded as well as 2 from Bailey and 2 from Douglas County to help cook and serve at the Lions Camp. The Eastern Slope met the Western Slope and a great time was had by all - cooking, serving and getting to know each other.

May 20, 2009 ~ The clock donated by the Palisade Lions and placed in the New Town Plaza in downtown Palisade was dedicated.
