July 2009 ~
I went to the first council meeting back in July, and met with a great group of VDGs (Cathy Pergola 6C, Wayne Babros 6SE and Dave Mendenhall 6NE). We have just seemed to click from the moment that we met. This group is planning on getting a lot of things done for the Lions of Colorado. For us to do all these things, the Lions of Colorado are going to be the KEY to getting them done.

REMEMBERING
To quote the famous words of Harry Carey, Jr (Broadcaster for the Chicago Cubs Baseball Team) “HOLY COW”. What a year that it has been!
It started at the District Convention in Durango last year, when a group of Lions twisted my arm to run for the position of Vice District Governor. I had always planned on running for VDG, but they just got me to move my plans ahead a couple of years. I sure want to thank those Lions for talking me into running for VDG. It has been my best and most rewarding year in Lions.
I got to travel and visit with all the Lions Clubs in 6W. I was totally amazed at all the different projects that these clubs work on and to all the different places that their money is going to help the people in need. The most important thing is that they are having fun while they are working their butts off.
